About the Role:

The successful candidate will partner closely with hiring managers, provide full-cycle recruitment coaching, build processes and partnerships that strengthen candidate pipelines, enhance recruitment tools and promote consistent, efficient, and high-quality hiring practices across the organization. Key areas of accountability include:

  • Recruitment Coaching: Coach and support hiring managers on recruitment strategies, selection practices, labour-market conditions, wage competitiveness, relocation support, scheduling options, and other hiring considerations.
  • Talent Sourcing and Pipelines: Develop creative approaches to attract active and passive candidates, including targeted sourcing campaigns, rural recruitment strategies, and partnerships with secondary and post-secondary schools.
  • Recruitment Systems and Process Improvement: Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the Applicant Tracking System and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment (10%): Lead recruitment for key and hard-to-fill roles, including job advertising, candidate sourcing, résumé screening, interviewing, reference checking, offer preparation, and candidate follow-up.
  • Employment Brand and Recruitment Marketing: Create clear and compelling recruitment content for Fountain Tire’s careers website, social media channels, in-store advertising, and seasonal recruitment campaigns.
  • Labour-Market Research: Monitor recruitment, compensation, scheduling, and workforce trends within the automotive and skilled-trades markets and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Events and Community Outreach: Represent Fountain Tire at career fairs, trade shows, school events, and industry functions to promote employment opportunities and build candidate pipelines.
  • Training and HR Support: Develop and deliver recruitment-related education for managers, and provide backup support to the broader Human Resources team.
