Fountain Tire is seeking a dedicated Accounting & Disbursements Manager to be a key player in our dynamic corporate accounting team based in our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office.
This vital role is responsible for leading full-cycle accounting procedures, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and will play a key role in developing a high‑performing accounting team. The role will also oversee ASPE and policy compliance, internal controls, stakeholder communication, process efficiencies, fraud prevention and improvements to technology and electronic payments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the Disbursements Accounting team through effective performance management, daily coaching, and ongoing skill development.
- Monitor and support compliance with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), company policies, procedures and established processes.
- Review and ensure accurate and timely completion of the month-end checklist and financial reporting
- Ensure timely communication of financial results to stakeholders
- Respond to inquiries in accordance with the communication policy
- Review balance sheet accounts and quarterly provisions for accuracy and reasonableness
- Lead the forecasting process and reflect material budget deviations in the full-year forecast
- Lead the budgeting process to support stakeholders and deliver the budget package on time
- Develop and manage the year-end plan ensuring specified deadlines are met
- Provide internal and external audit support as needed.
- Manage cheque-run payments to Fountain Tire Group vendors and service providers.
- Develop standard and ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and payment solutions to improve efficiency, reporting, fraud prevention and stakeholder experience.
What does it take to get on track?
- Professional accounting designation is required
- 7 years of related experience plus a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position is required.
- Demonstrated initiative in recognizing efficiencies and implementing process improvements
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to work with a variety of people in a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to research and escalate issues.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Strong financial systems skills, with advanced proficiency in FP&A software and related reporting tools.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 would be considered a definite asset.
- Experience with Anaplan would be considered a definite asset.
